Bibliographies

Katharine said...
Just read about the corazone (play on Spanish heart?) in CAL newsletter. I have a question: When compiling a bibliography, do you include books you don't own? Books you own but not at your branch? Books that exist on that topic but that aren't very good?Driving me nuts, what to add, to be inclusive or discerning. Comments?

I usually use only books we own (in the system, not necessarily at a particular branch). I guess I'd go for a shorter list with the best stuff rather than including things I didn't think were very good. Does this help?

At PPLD we include only items in the collections. Length varies from 25-30 items. I use Novelist to help with the process.
